In this article we will learn to implement a Java program to add two numbers. A java program is provided below which reads two numbers from the user and displays their sum.

Program is as follows:

import java.util.Scanner;

public class Driver
{
	public static void main(String[] args)
	{
		Scanner input = new Scanner(System.in);
		System.out.println("Enter two numbers: ");
		int x = input.nextInt();
		int y = input.nextInt();
		System.out.println("Sum of the two numbers is: " + (x+y));
		input.close();
	}
}

Input and output for the above program is as follows:

Enter two numbers:
5 2
Sum of the two numbers is: 7
