In week 1 lab exercise, students will gain exposure or practical knowledge on using various basic tags in HTML.

Task 1

Open the Problem Set 1 and read it. Write the answers for the questions in the Problem Set 1 in your lab observation book along with the given paragraph in Problem Set 1.

 

Task 2

Create a web page which displays only “Hello World”. Display it only as normal text. The title of the webpage must be “My First Web Page”. Note down the HTML code in your lab observation book.

 

Task 3

Practice the following tags and observe how they are being displayed in the browser.

Block Elements: <p>, <h1> to <h6>, <blockquote>, <pre>, <div>, <ul>, <ol> and <dl> tags.

Inline Elements: <b>, <i>, <strong>, <em>, <big>, <small>, <u>, <ins>, <strike>, <del>, <tt>, <span> tags.

Suryateja Pericherla

Suryateja Pericherla, at present is a Research Scholar (full-time Ph.D.) in the Dept. of Computer Science & Systems Engineering at Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. Previously worked as an Associate Professor in the Dept. of CSE at Vishnu Institute of Technology, India.
